Aktif Banks Success Crowned with 4 First Prizes


Aktif Bank returned with 8 awards, 4 being 1st Prizes, from League of American Communications Professionals (LACP)’s Vision Awards with its 2012Annual Report.


Aktif Bank returned with 8 awards, 4 being 1st Prizes, from League of American Communications Professionals (LACP)’s Vision Awards with its 2012Annual Report, “New Generation Banking - A Living Story”. Aktif Bank CEO Dr. Önder Halisdemir said “The awards given to this report, in which we shared determination, faith and dedication are the proof that we are on the right track by reflecting our innovative vision to all our works”, while LACP Managing Director Christine Kennedy added “We classify Aktif Bank’s annual report among the best annual reports within its industry”.


The pioneer of the new generation banking in Turkey, Aktif Bank was granted 8 awards at the “Vision Awards” competition organized by the League of American Communications Professionals with its 2012 Annual Report themed “New Generation Banking - A Living Story”. Aktif Bank was given 8 awards at the banking categories of the “Vision Awards” competition, which is one of the most reputable public relations platforms of the world, and which had more than 6000 applications from 24 countries this year. The Bank’s 2012 annual report, received 99 points over 100 in the evaluation made by the contest jury, achieving 4 World 1st Prizes, surpassed many multinational institutions by becoming the 10th worldwide among the top 100 annual reports, and 4th among the top 50 reports of Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA) region.

Aktif Bank CEO Dr. Önder Halisdemir said “Since the restructuring of our Bank with the ‘new generation banking’ approach in 2007, we had more than 50 times growth. While we were one of the small scale banks of the country, we became the greatest investment bank of Turkey. At the end of the 5 years we worked with determination, faith and devotion, the awards we received with our 2012 annual report, in which we explained how this success story was written, crowned our success. The jury of the competition; where the evaluation was made according to first impression, report cover, letter to shareholders, report narration, financial reporting, creativity, message clarity and access to information criteria; evaluated the report as “This is very creative effort. It is clear that a lot of passion has been invested into this publication in order to help the materials deliver the greatest impact possible. The unique footprint of this study really helps this project to stand out. Great job finding a unique avenue to create a memorable effect”. LACP Managing Director Christine Kennedy said “We find this work to be outstanding, earning a total score of 99 out of a maximum 100 points. it astonishing that this study had a total of 99 points over the highest possible 100 points. The level of creativity displayed in the report, which presented the messages of this year with an exceptional clarity, supported with robust financials, was found quite remarkable.
