Turkey’s most extensive fintech ecosystem


Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Aktif Bank continued to grow in 2024 with its strong ecosystem.

As Turkey’s largest privately-owned investment bank, Aktif Bank marked its quarter-century milestone in 2024. With a 25-year legacy, the bank continues its operations as Turkey’s most comprehensive financial technologies ecosystem through innovative business models and technology investments that redefine investment banking.

Distinguishing itself in the financial sector with its unique business approach, the bank operates in more than 10 lines of business together with its fintech ventures and business partners through a customer-oriented approach. From banking products to insurance, from card-based transportation solutions to payment systems, from technology production to the world of entertainment and sports ticketing, the bank plays an active role in all aspects of life and serves more than 18 million customers. With 16 branches across Turkey, it primarily focuses on corporate, investment, and private banking.

As a leading player in digital banking, Aktif Bank provides a fast and seamless banking experience to individual users without the need for branches through its digital banking application N Kolay. Reaching over 6 million users as of 2024, N Kolay continues to accelerate its growth, advancing towards becoming one of Turkey’s most comprehensive digital banking platforms. Offering digital loans, investment products, international money transfers, and personalized financial solutions, N Kolay continuously improves user experience and in 2024 expanded its ecosystem with innovative services focused on customer satisfaction.

Beyond financial services, N Kolay continues to contribute to cultural and sports events. In 2024, it maintained its title sponsorship of the Harbiye concerts and strengthened its support for film, theatre, and music festivals in collaboration with the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV). In addition to ongoing support, N Kolay became the Festival Sponsor of the Istanbul Film Festival by enhancing its partnership with IKSV.

One of the bank’s most prominent players in the digital sphere, Passo exceeded 20 million downloads in 2024, becoming Turkey’s most widely used ticketing platform. In addition to football matches, it also serves users across a wide range of events from concerts to theatre and festivals. Inspired by the latest global trends, Aktif Bank transformed Passo into a “lifestyle Super-App” and aims to offer users a much broader experience as of 2025.

The bank’s subsidiary E-Kent continued to grow its public transportation and access control solutions in 2024. It integrated Uşak into the electronic fare collection system and made Rize the first city to use Türkiye Kart as the sole transportation card. Additionally, under the E-Kent Europe brand, it entered the European market and took significant steps towards becoming a global player.

A leader in financial technology and payment systems, UPT continued its international expansion. With its offices in Berlin and Dubai, UPT strengthened its global presence and increased its international transaction volume by 79% in 2024, reinforcing its global impact. Expanding into new markets through its mobile application UPTION, UPT increased its user base to 800,000.

One of Turkey’s most innovative players in digital insurance, Sigortayeri recorded 255% growth in 2024, rising to second place in the industry. Aiming to expand its financial solutions for SMEs, Pay N Kolay reached over 6,000 merchants by 2024, achieving 300% growth in turnover.

Pavo, which carried out a major transformation in payment systems, strengthened its leading position in the sector by increasing android POS sales 20-fold. EchoPOS, working with Turkey’s leading retail chains, provided infrastructure for over 3 million daily transactions, contributing to the digitalization of the retail sector.

Aktif Portföy increased its asset size by 126% in 2024, reaching TRY 47 billion and expanding the number of its funds to 55. With its strong growth in investment funds, it continued to offer innovative and high-yielding solutions to its investors.

The bank’s subsidiary Aktif Ventures, positioned as the “Next-Generation Venture Architect,” has built one of Turkey’s largest ecosystems in API-based financial services. As of 2024, it became the country’s richest API platform with 807 APIs.

Aktif Tech, the technology subsidiary playing a critical role in Aktif Bank’s fintech ecosystem, achieved strong growth in 2024 in payment systems, ticketing, and financial technology solutions. Expanding its global footprint, the company accelerated its international growth strategy, particularly in the Balkans, Africa, and Turkic Republics. By expanding its R&D and innovation investments, it developed API platforms, digital banking infrastructures, and software solutions dedicated to financial technologies. With its innovative technologies in payment and ticketing systems, Aktif Tech provided end-to-end solutions for Aktif Bank subsidiaries and fintech ventures, further advancing the financial technology ecosystem in 2024.

Another subsidiary of Aktif Bank, SECOM, accelerated digitalization in security technologies in 2024, offering innovative solutions to individual and corporate clients. Strengthening its collaborations with global tech firms, SECOM expanded its operational scope with advanced security systems and reinforced its power in the sector.

One of the bank’s innovative platforms, Workindo, offered modern and innovative human resources solutions to employers and job seekers in 2024 through AI-powered technologies and multi-factor personality analysis.

Significant steps were taken in 2024 in the fields of sustainability, financial inclusion, and gender equality. As the first Turkish bank to commit to generating its own energy, Aktif Bank commissioned a solar power plant with a capacity of 1.39 MW and initiated a major transformation to reduce carbon emissions across all its subsidiaries. Through the “Economically Active Women” project, which aims to provide financing support to women entrepreneurs, the bank reached 5,000 women and facilitated their integration into the financial system.

Aktif Bank’s innovative business model, investments in digitalization, and financial ecosystem approach enabled it to remain a pioneer in the sector throughout 2024. The bank continued to receive national and international awards by strengthening its power in the financial technologiesdomain.

The year 2024 was not only a period of financial success for Aktif Bank but also a significant milestone as it celebrated its 25-year journey. Winning over 20 awards, Aktif Bank solidified its place among Turkey’s most valuable brands and was listed for the third consecutive time in the “Top 100 Most Valuable Brands in Turkey” by global brand valuation organization Brand Finance.
