​​National Commerce Bank (Banka Kombetare Tregtare-BKT), the biggest deposit bank in Balkans with Turkish capital opened its second branch in Prizren, Kosovo. The first branch was opened in Pristine which has also a very big Turkish population. Çalık Group which is the first Turkish investor company continues its investments in Kosovo in order to make a contribution to national economy.



80% of the population is Turkish speakers in Prizren and Dr. Önder Halisdemir, Deputy Chairman of the BKT Board and General Manager of Çalıkbank has made a speech in Turkish at the opening ceremony. He said that their goal is to make a contribution to country’s development and economic well being.



Halisdemir noted that Çalık Group, the biggest Turkish investor in the Balkans will continue its financial investments in this very strategically important region which turns into an attractive market for enterprising businesses from all over the world.

Halisdemir reminded that many big companies find Far East region very risky and prefer to invest to Balkan countries which are the part of Europe.



Ramadan Muja, Governor of Prizren has also made a speech at the branch opening ceremony. He said that it is very pleasant to host Turkish investors in Kosovo and BKT will provide very important financial opportunities for the small and medium size enterprises of the country.
