Aktif Bank as the innovator of “New Generation Banking” continues to receive attention by a number of innovative banking solutions and has just added another trophy to its long list of international awards. Aktif Bank was awarded the first rank in “Islamic Finance Transaction of the Year” in Europe category by “The Banker” magazine which is equivalent to the Oscar Awards in the industry.

Aktif Bank as the pioneer of New Generation Banking was awarded the First Position in Europe under the “Islamic Finance Transacton of the Year” category due to its achievement in issuing a sukuk for the funding of Istanbul Finance Center project.

Having received its rightful place among the world’s leading banks by this award, Aktif Bank has successfully arranged the funding of Istanbul Finance Center project through specialized sukuk issuances. The first project sukuk issuance in Turkeywith an amount of 200 million Turkish Liras has also received a strong attention from a number of international investors interested in the Istanbul Finance Center.

The Banker magazine is seen as one of the most prominent publications of the banking industry and Aktif Bank has competed with such premier global banks such as Crédit Agricole, HSBC, Citi, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, ING, Raiffeisen Bank International, Royal Bank of Scotland, Sberbank, Société Générale, UniCredit and Goldman Sachs under the “Deals of the Year” contest.
