The senior executives of Aktif Bank met the Minister of Finance of Sudan and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan: Aktif Bank, the bank of the African foreign trade, is in Sudan

Standing by the banking activities of our exporters thanks to the active role it takes in foreign trade, Aktif Bank met with the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan as part of its activities aimed at the African continent. Having expressed that 53 percent of the foreign trade volume of 389 million dollars, exchanged by and between Turkey and Sudan in 2019, was accomplished through Aktif Bank, Serdar Sumer, the CEO of Aktif Bank underlined that they would maintain their support for the region.

Aktif Bank, pioneering the foreign trade to the region by its export-focused operations aimed at the African continent, performed a visit to Sudan.  The meeting of Serdar Sumer, the CEO of Aktif Bank, and Muzaffer Suat Utku, the Executive Vice President in charge of the International Banking Group of Aktif Bank, with the Minister of Finance of Sudan and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan and the senior executives of various banks, incorporated the Sudanese-Turkish economic relations as well as various cooperations in the field of banking.

Mr. Sumer: "We provided intermediation for 53% of the Sudanese foreign trade in 2019".

Having provided information about the said visit, Serdar Sumer, the CEO of Aktif Bank remarked "The Sudanese-Turkish foreign trade volume was reported as 389 million dollars in 2019. The foreign trade volume, we, as Aktif Bank, have provided intermediation for such trade, reached to 53 percent with 206 million dollars".

Cooperation with more than 275 Banks in the African continent

Having underlined that Aktif Bank was standing by our exporters at the challenging geographies and providing close support to them at the increased competitive environment, Mr. Sumer said, "Our Bank is in the leading position in respect of the banking transactions between Sudan and Turkey as part of its foreign trade operations it has concentrated in the African continent.   We are acting as the pioneer among the banks in Turkey by cooperating with more than 275 banks in 44 countries, concentrated not only in Sudan but in the Sub-Saharan in the entire African continent. We will maintain the support, we have been providing to the economy both in the region and also in Sudan, as well as to our exporters, by keep such support increasing. Besides, we are coming closer to accomplish our activities for the foreign trade platform aimed at Africa, and we will launch such platform to be used by the public in the near future."
