CIO 2016 Awards, where the projects developed in the field of information and communication technologies by the leading companies in their sector are granted with awards, were given out.

​Aktif Bank, the largest privately-owned investment bank in Turkey, was granted with the award since it increased the corporate profitability by developing right instruments and methods in information and communication technologies. Aktif Bank has been carrying out extensive investments for the purpose of more effective utilization of information and communication technologies in all the business processes.

CIO 2016 Awards, held for the seventh time this year by CIO Journal and hosted by Dunya Newspaper, were given out at the ceremony. Using the information and communication technologies in the most effective manner in Turkey and aiming to facilitate the processes for both its employees and its customers and to increase the efficiency, Aktif Bank were granted with the award since it increased the corporate profitability through its use of information technologies by developing right instruments and methods in information and communication technologies.

Following the investment in information and communication technologies and the transition, Aktif Bank has created cost optimization more than TRY 25 million and also achieved an efficiency increase by 330% within a year.

Executive Vice President, Information Technologies and Operations Group, Dr. Gokhan Ozdinc received the award on behalf of Aktif Bank and said: "For companies, digitalization is an important value which provides operational perfectionalization and efficiency increase. We achieved significant gains in the fields of cost optimization, operational efficiency, security and risk management, R&D - innovation and digital transition through the works that we carried out in 2015 in this respect.
