Football Fans Rally To Record High In Antalya

"Passolig Card numbers are assessed by province", Ceyhun Kazancı said and noted "Antalya is represented by Antalyaspor and Alanyaspor in Spor Toto Super Lig, and despite its high standing, it still has a significant potential for growth."

In Antalya, total number of Passolig Card holders rose to 86,500 from 27 thousand over the season 2014-2015. As a result, Antalya climbed to 5th place in Turkey ranking by number of Passolig Card holders compared to its position as the 11th province in the previous season. The first four provinces ranking above Antalya by number of Passolig Cards are Istanbul, Ankara, Konya and Bursa in respective order. There are 740 thousand Passolig Card holders in Istanbul, 123 thousand in Ankara, 116 thousand in Konya and 107 thousand in Bursa.

"Already known for football, Antalya keeps developing with new investments", Ceyhun Kazancı said. "Inauguration of Antalyaspor's new stadium, its strengthened squad with transfer of star players like Eto'o and the successful results it gets in the league were effective in the increase in attendance rates in Antalya. We anticipate that promotion of Alanyaspor to Super Lig will also increase the attendance figures and average attendance rate in Antalya considerably. We expect to see Antalya climb to a higher place in national ranking, fueled by the performance of these two clubs this year.
