Çalıkbank wins Kayseri Card Tender June 2008

Çalık Yatırım Bankası A.Ş. won Kayseri Card Tender which was issued by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality in June in order to design a provincial card to be used in public transportation, football stadium and museum entrances and collection of electricity and water invoices.

Six firms attended the tender chaired by Mehmet Tarınç, Vice President of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. Firms are required to design a build-operate-transfer model for the public transportation, electronic fee collection and vehicle tracking system of the town for 10 years. Çalıkbank became the winner of the Kayseri Card tender.

Within the context of tender, ticket fee collection of public transportation including municipality bus, public bus and rail system will be carried out by an all in one card system. The card will also be used for football stadium and museum entrances and collection of electricity, water and gas invoices. Winner of the tender will design a build-operate-transfer model and operate it for 10 years.

In May, Çalıkbank was also bought E-Kent which operated electronic ticket fee collection system of Bursa’s public transportation in 2002 and continues to perform many other systems successfully.

E-Kent also provides electronic fee collection solutions in Adana, Kayseri, Eskişehir, Balıkesir, Tokat and Amasya. Modernization of ticket fee collection systems by E-Kent raises the level of technology and makes operations easy to monitor.

Çalıkbank will provide innovative solutions in Kayseri along with the experience and expertise of E-Kent which they cooperate to generalize collection systems and combine them with banking services.
