Mehmet Usta

Born in 1950, He is graduated from the Economics and Finance Department of Eskişehir Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences. He has a background of more than 46 years in banking. He served as inspector and manager in Anadolu Bank between 1979 and 1987 and held senior management positions at Emlak Bank, both in Turkey and abroad in the Netherlands and in France, from 1987 to 1994.

Between May 1994 to March 2007, Mr.Usta served at Banque du Bosphore, Paris as the General Manager and Board Member, and in April 2008, he joined Aktif Bank as the Deputy Chairman. In December 2008, he assumed the position of Deputy Chairman at Çalık Holding subsidiary Banka Kombetare Tregtare Albania before taking responsibiliy as Chairman in July 2009.

He has been the Founding Chairman of Banka Kombetare Tregtare Kosovo since May 2018 until April 2022.

Mr. Usta served as a Board Member of the Brussels-based WSBI (World Savings and Retail Banking Institute) from May 2012 to December 2023. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sigortayeri Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği A.Ş. from March 2015 to February 2026.

Since March 2015, he has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aktif Bank subsidiary UPT Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para A.Ş.
